How these numbers are made
Sovrnti rates every product on three independent axes, each scored 0 to 100. **Innovation: how capable a product is.** And how modern and evolving it is. High Innovation means it does more, better or different. **Control: how much control do you keep.** Your command over data, code, jurisdiction, operations and your freedom to leave. High Control means you set the terms, not the vendor. **Scale: how much the product can support your growth as an organization.** Deployment reach, enterprise readiness, geographic coverage, capacity and proven use in large or regulated environments. **Bands.** Each score maps to a named band for its axis. Control runs up to Advanced, Innovation up to Frontier, Scale up to Enterprise. **Evidence and testing, then a clear opinion.** Every score rests on public, checkable evidence and our own hands-on testing. It is grounded in what a buyer can verify, not a private vendor briefing. When a product ships a capability but publishes nothing about it, that silence counts as a transparency gap, not the benefit of the doubt. On that footing, Sovrnti is deliberately opinionated: the stance is earned from the evidence, never a substitute for it. We report coverage next to each score, so you see how much rests on evidence and how much is still unknown. **Sovereign mode.** Default scores describe a product as most buyers take it off the shelf. Switch to sovereign mode and Sovrnti re-resolves the scores for your jurisdiction, assuming you engage every sovereign control the product offers (the right edition, customer-held keys, in-region data). The distance between the two states is the tradeoff.
